A DIY Pillow Cover • Inspired by the Hearth & Hand Line

Has everyone seen the new Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia line at Target?!  I am IN LOVE!!!

There were so many things that caught my eye (and a few things I bought!), but one thing in particular was all the hand-stitched x’s on the linens.  So pretty!  Those are the kind of details I just love!  They had this adorable pillow with the hand-stitched x’s for $25.

I really, really wanted it!  You know when you sit there and hold it in your hands, slowly run your hands over the stitching, put it in your cart then take it out again….?  Then it hit me!  I had just seen the placemats on the other side of the display with the same stitching!

Yaaaaaay!!!  The best part was that it came with a backing fabric already on it.  That means an easy-peasy open up the stitching on one end, shove your pillow in then stitch it back up!  And it was only $5!!!!!  Whoooooooot!  (Can you tell I get real excited about these things?!!!)

So I bought two placemats (of course!) and immediately made pillows when I got home!

{I used the same method as in my placemat pillow cover tutorial}

And here are few of the other Hearth & Hand™ items I bought:
