PCL Invitation • Print Design

A few months back, I had the privilege of designing an invitation for a non-profit group called People for Care and Learning.  This organization is based out of Tennessee, but invests their time and money into helping communities in Cambodia thrive and become self-sustaining economically as well as socially.  If you have a moment to check out their website, I was personally amazed and in awe of what they are doing!

For the invitation, I wanted to create a textural “experience” yet convey the information cleanly.  I spent a lot of time going through images from trips the organization had taken, then came across an image of a beautiful little girl wearing bright colors and I fell in love with the feel of it!  I texturized the image graphically with the angles and overlayed them.  I also used the same angles on the other pieces, including the RSVP and the custom address labels.  I love how the colors just pop agains the craft paper and the twine!

I also created a custom hand-lettered stamp with PCL’s motto “A Community For Good” and just love how it added yet another layer of texture to the whole project.  {I used Simon Stamps for the custom rubber stamp}

This invitation included:
+ Custom Invitation – including hand lettering
+ RSVP Card
+ Custom address labels
+ Custom Rubber Stamp – hand lettered design
